The LGBT Family Coalition is in operation due to the donation of time, energy and resources by its volunteers and supporters. |
As well as providing important support and resources to gay and lesbian people and their families, our more politically active members work hard for concrete social change. The Association acts as a nerve centre, sending out information, hooking people up with journalists, researchers, television programs… Politically active members work on four dossiers of interest to LGBT families: adoption rights; access to public fertility clinic, same-sex marriage; and homophobia in the schools. This volunteer work is hugely important for the visibility and understanding of LGBT parents, and of LGBT people in general. |
