Homophobie entre jeunes enfants: passer à l’action !

La formation Regards sur les familles homoparentales vise à sensibiliser tout le personnel des écoles primaires ainsi que toutes les personnes impliquées dans les services sociaux, les services de santé et les organismes communautaires jeunesse aux réalités des familles homoparentales.

  • Cette formation vous permettra d’accroître vos connaissances et vous suggérera des pistes concrètes d’intervention afin de favoriser une meilleure intégration des enfants des familles homoparentales.
  • Cette formation répond aux besoins exprimés par des adultes qui veulent être mieux outillés pour intervenir lorsqu’ils sont témoins d’incidents à connotation homophobe ou sexiste, de harcèlement ou d’étiquetage, entre des enfants du primaire.
  • Cette formation fournit également des renseignements, des stratégies, des exemples de pratiques, ainsi qu’un vaste éventail de ressources pour accompagner chaque personne et son milieu de travail dans leurs démarches de changement.

January 27th 2009 : Two of our families have been broadcast on a TV French show about LGBT parents "C'est quoi l'amour" (1st part, 2nd part). See also the videos in the "Resources / Movies".

January 7th 2009 : MES DEUX MAMANS.

The documentary, written and directed by Aurore Thériault, focuses on the need for lesbians to be mothers despite homophobia and social taboos.

It will be broadcast on TV5 at the following dates:

  • January 12th 2009 at 9:30am
  • January 12th 2009 at 10pm
  • January 14th 2009 at 1pm

November 24th 2008 : Release of the newsletter with the news and the schedule of next activities.

October 27th 2008 : The Arc-en-ciel Gala was held on October 27, 2008 at the Lion d'or. The LGBT Family Coalition won the prize for the best project or initiative.
The guest of honour, Ms. Louise Arbour, former Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2004 to 2008, was awarded First Prize of the CQGL 2008 for her outstanding involvement in defending, promoting and insuring the respect of human rights, in particular the rights of gay, lesbians, bisexual, transexual and transgender people both in Québec and elsewhere.

September 2008 : Release of the newsletter with the schedule of activities 2008/2009

May 27th 2008 : Special General Assembly formalizing the merger of the two groups Papa-Daddy and the Lesbian Mothers Association under the LGBT Family Coalition (Coalition des familles homoparentales (CFH) in French).

April 8th 2008: The publication Adoption and Fostering of Children in Quebec: A Guide for Gays and Lesbians is available.
